First & foremost,

I am passionate about helping people  overcome the effects of trauma in their lives, regaining a sense of possibility and hope for the future. My professional designation is that of a Registered Social Worker, which means that my conduct is governed by a code of ethics, and I take my clinical responsibility to you very seriously. My philosophy lies in the belief that we all have the capacity to grow and reconnect to the wisdom we already possess. In the meantime, we are just trying to cope in ways which have become familiar, yet worn out, and hinder us from getting to where we want to go.

"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried."                                   -Carl Rogers

In terms of my qualifications, I have specific training and experience in the provision of assessments and trauma therapy, along with ten years of combined experience working under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, as well as in private and community settings. I am skilled in treating addictions, eating disorders, anxiety, dissociation, Complex PTSD, depression, chronic pain and mood disorders.  I have completed an internship at The Women’s College Hospital within the WRAP program (Women Recovering from Abuse), along with Level I Training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.  I also facilitate groups for people with eating disorders at Sheena’s Place and  am committed to professional development,  attending ongoing training and seminars, bringing you the best of  research in trauma therapy.
